I’m Dana, the founder of Vibe NYC Tours. I’ve spent my life as a voracious reader, constantly digging through archives and biographies to understand the "why" behind this city. But I’ve always felt that even the best books only tell half the story.

I started Vibe NYC to bridge that gap. I take the deep historical research I love and layer it with the stories my family and I actually lived on these streets—from the trading floor to the neighborhood front stoops.

This isn’t about reciting a script; it’s about merging the record of the past with the authentic, high-stakes, and deeply human "vibe" that you can only get from someone who was there when the ink was still wet.

A professionally trained proprietary trader turned historical storyteller, Dana brings a high-stakes, "insider" perspective to New York City’s most legendary streets. With years of experience navigating the fast-paced world of global finance, she now spends her time decoding the "Founding Finance" of Alexander Hamilton and the hidden shadows of Revolutionary War New York. Dana is a specialist in America 250 history and is known for stripping away the "tourist filters" to reveal the grit, drama, and real-time survival that built NYC.

My Ground Zero Walking Tour is born from a place of deep respect and personal history.

When I lead a tour of the 9/11 Memorial, I’m not just a guide—I’m a family member. My brother, Mike, was lost here. For me, this isn't just a landmark or a historical site; it is the last place he existed in this life.

I don't use scripts and I don't do "performative" tours. I show you the side of the Memorial that only someone who has spent the last 25 years processing this loss can see.

We look at the Survivor Tree and the quiet details that most people walk right past. I’m here to honor the resilience of this city and the real people—like Mike—who are the reason this site exists.

This is my Dad, circa 1975. No he is not a Tour Guide. In fact, he is happily retired along the shores of the Florida Gulf Coast. But he will be on many of our tours because growing up with a father who was a floor broker on the NYSE was an incredible childhood experience.
