Frequently Asked Questions: NYC Walking Tours

Where do your tours meet?

Each tour has a specific, easy-to-find meeting point near major landmarks like the NYSE, the Oculus, or the Brooklyn Bridge. You will receive a precise GPS pin and arrival instructions in your confirmation email immediately after booking.

What is your weather policy?

Our tours run rain or shine. New York City is beautiful in all conditions, but we recommend checking the forecast and dressing for the weather. In the event of extreme, unsafe weather alerts, we will contact you to reschedule or provide a full refund.

Are the tours wheelchair and stroller accessible?

Yes. Most of our standard routes through Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn Bridge are fully accessible. If you have specific mobility concerns, please contact us in advance so your guide can optimize the route for your comfort.

How much walking is involved?

Most tours cover approximately 1 to 1.5 miles at a leisurely, conversational pace. We include frequent stops to discuss history and take photos. We recommend comfortable walking shoes—this is a true "boots on the ground" NYC experience.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. To maintain an intimate "boutique" experience and ensure our expert guides (Traders and Historians) are available, we require advanced booking. For last-minute availability (within 24 hours), please call or text us directly.

Is gratuity included in the tour price?

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated if you enjoyed your experience. A standard tip in NYC is 15–20%, which goes directly to your local guide.

Can I switch from a group tour to a private tour?

Absolutely. If you’ve booked a public walk but decide you’d prefer a private, custom experience for your party, contact us. If we have a guide available, we can easily upgrade your booking.
