See the Madison Square Park tree beside the historic Flatiron Building, photograph the Washington Square Park tree beneath its magnificent arch, walk through the glowing canopy of Zuccotti Park, and stand beside the Wall Street Christmas Tree with the New York Stock Exchange as its dramatic backdrop.

Beginning at One Wall Street at 3:30 PM, this two-hour Lower Manhattan Christmas walking tour lets you experience downtown as the afternoon fades and the holiday lights begin to glow. Stand beside the Wall Street Christmas Tree with the New York Stock Exchange as its dramatic backdrop, meet the Charging Bull and Fearless Girl, and walk beneath the illuminated canopy of Zuccotti Park.
At Trinity Church, visit Alexander Hamilton’s grave and discover how the immigrant who helped create America’s financial system became one of New York’s most fascinating—and complicated—founding figures. Along the way, your local guide brings Wall Street to life through stories of Hamilton, the birth of American finance, the Federal Reserve, the New York Stock Exchange and the people who transformed Lower Manhattan.

Beginning at 7:30 AM, this small-group Rockefeller Center Christmas walking tour explores Sixth Avenue, Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue with a local NYC guide who knows the quieter approaches, strongest viewing angles, fascinating stories and warm indoor stops.
See the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree and skating rink, walk through the illuminated angels of Channel Gardens, and visit Radio City Music Hall and Sixth Avenue’s larger-than-life holiday displays. Along Fifth Avenue, discover the history behind New York’s famous Christmas windows and the annual competition among the city’s legendary department stores.
Step inside magnificent St. Patrick’s Cathedral for a warm-up, subject to cathedral operations, and enter the gates of the Villard Mansions to photograph the elegant Christmas courtyard at the Lotte New York Palace.
We’ll finish beside the Plaza Hotel and Central Park with stories from New York Christmas movies, including Home Alone 2. From there, continue into Central Park, go shopping along Fifth Avenue or warm up over breakfast.

Christmas in the City That Started It All
In 2026, the United States commemorates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence—and Lower Manhattan offers an extraordinary setting in which to explore that history during the Christmas season.
These are the streets where Alexander Hamilton helped establish the nation’s financial system, where George Washington took the oath of office as the first president, and where he attended a service at St. Paul’s Chapel following his inauguration. At Fraunces Tavern, Washington delivered his emotional farewell to his officers on December 4, 1783, shortly after the British evacuation of New York.
The Wall Street Christmas Tree stands outside the New York Stock Exchange, whose history traces back to the Buttonwood Agreement of 1792. Nearby, Trinity Churchyard holds the graves of Alexander Hamilton and his wife, Eliza.
St. Paul’s Chapel, completed in 1766, survived the Great Fire of 1776 with help from a bucket brigade. More than two centuries later, it remained standing after September 11 and became a place of rest and support for recovery workers.

On December 4, 1783, George Washington gathered his officers in the Long Room at Fraunces Tavern to thank them for their service and bid an emotional farewell. On Sunday, December 6, 2026, Fraunces Tavern Museum will reenact that historic moment in the room where it happened. Visitors will have opportunities throughout the day to experience the reenactment and meet an interpreter portraying Washington.

Trinity Church Wall Street presents its celebrated annual performance of Handel’s Messiah with the Trinity Choir and Trinity Baroque Orchestra, conducted in 2026 by acclaimed Handel specialist Nicholas McGegan. Trinity Church hosts its Christmas Eve Festive Choral Eucharist at 9pm — one of the most beautiful liturgical events in the city, featuring the Trinity Choir and the newly inaugurated Glatter-Götz/Rosales pipe organ. No tickets required. Open to all faiths and backgrounds. The midnight atmosphere of this neighborhood on Christmas Eve is unlike anything else in New York.

When does the 2026 Christmas tour season start and end?
The season runs December 6, 2026 through January 6, 2027. We open December 6th specifically because the major trees in Lower Manhattan need to be fully lit for the tour to deliver what it promises. We close January 6th — Three Kings Day — which is the traditional end of the Christmas season.
Do the tours run on Christmas Day?
Yes — all tours run on December 25th. We are one of the very few tour operators in New York City running on Christmas Day. It is consistently one of the best nights of the season — the city is quieter, the streets feel like they belong to you, and the lights hit differently. Christmas Day tours fill first. Book early.
What is the difference between the Lower Manhattan Christmas Minibus Tour and the Lower Manhattan Christmas walking tour?
The Minibus & Walking Tour ($89) covers more ground — 4 hours, heated vehicle, 8+ stops across Lower Manhattan with walking time at every location. Max 28 guests. The Walking Tour ($39) is more intimate — 2 hours on foot through the Financial District with deeper history at each stop. Max 15 guests. Both include a local guide with the stories most Christmas tours skip entirely.

Do tours run in the rain?
Yes — all tours run rain or shine. The minibus tour keeps you warm and dry between stops. In the event of extreme weather alerts (if the city declares a state of emergency only) we will contact you to reschedule or provide a full refund.
What is your cancellation policy?
For Christmas tours, a full refund with at least 72 hours notice before your tour date. Cancellations under 72 hours are non-refundable.

Choose the $89 Lower Manhattan Minibus & Hop-Off Tour if you want to cover the most ground while staying warm between stops. Choose the $39 Lower Manhattan Christmas Walking Tour for a deeper, history-focused walk through the Financial District. Choose the $35 Rockefeller Center Morning Walk for Midtown’s classic holiday sights at a relaxed pace before the largest crowds arrive.
How much walking is involved on the minibus tour?
The minibus transports guests between neighborhoods, but the experience includes guided hop-off walking portions at several stops. Guests should be comfortable getting on and off the vehicle and walking approximately 1 mile (in broken up shorter segments) over the four-hour tour.
Are there restroom breaks?
The four-hour minibus itinerary includes planned restroom opportunities at locations such as the Oculus, Brookfield Place and the Seaport. Your guide will explain the timing during the tour.
